Review Process

Review policy of "Studia Polsko-Ukraińskie" journal:

1. All research submitted to the journal is subject to preliminary internal evaluation by the Editorial Board. The final decision regarding its futher processing belongs to the Editor-in-Chief.
2. Next, each scholarly article is evaluated by two independent reviewers - distingued experts in their fields. Non-scholarly articles are subject to internal evaluation by the Editorial Board only. The final decision regarding their publication belongs to the Editor-in-Chief.
3. Each scholarly article is evaluated according to double-blind peer review method.
4. All reviews take electronic form. In case of one positive and one negative review the Editorial Board appoints one additional reviewer.
5. The final decision regarding the acceptance of an article for publishing or its rejection belongs to the Editor-in-Chief.

Ethical Guidelines for Reviewers of the Journal "Studia Polsko-Ukraińskie":

• Decision-making
  Reviewers support the Editorial Board in the decision-making regarding the publication of an article in "Studia Polsko-Ukraińskie" journal.
• Deadlines
  Reviewers are obliged to declare whether they are capable of submitting a review in a prescribed period (within 14 days commencing on the date of the receipt of an article). If the reviewer is unable to keep the deadline, s/he should inform the Editorial Board about it as soon as possible.
• Objectivity standards
  Reviews and revierwers apply objectivity standards. Any ad persona criticism is strictly inappropriate. Reviewers should state their point clearly and support it by adequate arguments. Comments should be constructive and merit-based. 
• Confidentiality and conflict of interest
  All reviewed research is confidential. The reviewers are forbidden to show it or discuss it with any people other than the Editorial Board. Any doubts, criticisms or controversy should be expressed in a review. The review itself should also be considered confidential. Any information obtained in result of a review process cannot be used for personal gain.
• Anonymity
  All reviews are anonymous. The Editorial Board does not make available to the reviewers the names of the authors.
• Confirmation of sources
  The reviewer should inform the Editorial Board about any suspected violation of copyrights. The reviewer should indicate any omissions or mistakes in footnotes/endnotes and in the article as a whole (also in its abstract, keywords and other parts of the article). If neccessary, the reviewer should indicate relevant literature not used by the author.
