Abstract
In his article Mykola Sulyma analyzes the scientific and organizational activity of the outstanding scientist Oleksiĭ Myshanych. Together with such researchers as S. Maslov, V. Krekoten, V. Kolosov, Y. Dzyra, Myshanych has changed the face of the Ukrainian medieval studies and educated several generations of true researchers.
